Yes, that is true. I confess: I have disdain for neo-pagans. I
also have disdain for adherents of the so-called militia movement, for

individual who actually has a lot to offer. But I doubt it, frankly.

I too have disdain for the Religious Right. I am a liberal
Democrat myself.

Well, since you asked. I spend 25 - 40% of my working time as a
volunteer for social service agencies. I am President of the Board of
an $8 million-a-year multi-service agency that provides transitional
housing to homeless families, refugee resettlement, employment training,
tutoring and special programming for at-risk youth, including first-time
offenders, housing for People with AIDS, and other services. These
services are provided to all, without regard to religion. I serve as
Vice President of another agency which operates a chaplaincy service for
AIDS victims, provided on a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory
manner. I also serve on the board of a CHDO sponsored by an inner city
African Methodist Episcopal Church, developing affordable housing in the
inner city. I am a senior partner in a law firm which provides pro bono
service to many other nonprofit organizations.

I'm sorry to learn that true satanism has so little back-bone. What you
speak of is the same mentality as the 6 year old on the playground who
slugs somebody because they took his jump rope. Why don't you try some
thing that requires a little guts? If someone strikes you on one cheek,
turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him
from taking your tunic. This takes a lot more growth and character that
lashing out at who ever gets in your way. I'm sorry that you have fallen
into a pit of thinking that you are actually strengthing yourself through
this religion. If you truly have strength, try going one day without swearing
once. I imagine you can't do it because you don't have the strength you

Ok. I said this very wrong. I've now know of 3 people who were in an
abuseive relationship , it seem to me , when they finally got killing

Your probably right Marty. The figure I had was off the top of my
head. With sharp guys like you around, I'll refrain from "wagging". Prior
to Darwinism and the thought that things now are as they been for millions
of years, it was assumed that the strata in which they found so many fossils
was caused by a global flood. I know its hard to believe but 150 years ago
many scientists believed in God. Yet they made huge advances in understanding
nature.
Bottom line on the flood. If there is a God who created the entire
universe by faith in his spoken word, ie. "Let there be light, and there
was light" then of course a world wide deluge would be childs play. As in
fact would all the miracles in the bible. If the bible contained no miracles,
then why should we believe a diety was involved. God says of himself in
the
bible "Is there anything to difficult for Me." Now before you go ballistic,
I freely admit I'm engaged in circular reasoning. The real issue in this
echo is a debate over exclusive views, are we created or just a natural
process. I will continue to enter my thought into the market place of ideas
that we are created by a creator for a purpose.
Lastly, my original question was how someone who believes that tarot
cards divine the future, could find a worldwide flood untenable. Though
you
jumped on the flood issue, you remained silent on the other issue.

So that you understand, I still respect my birth religion and the
religions of other people. Okay?
I thought my pastor was a wonderful person, so was his delightful
family. What I found disturbing was, as I sat in the choir loft, the
hypocritical behaviour of the congregation below surreptitiously
glancing around with the unmistakable expression on their faces of who
was dressed better than who.
I have since forgiven these people for their apparently unconscious
behaviour, but it hurt the then seventeen year old girl who could see
this when others couldn't.
And I suppose I really was a rebel at heart, but when you see other
people not exactly following the Ten Commandments or what I perceived
the Lord's word to be, I didn't feel like being part of this anymore.
Paganism offered/offers me a different path to achieve essentially the
same goals. I feel freer than I ever felt in a church environment and
still honor each and every human being as sacred. The Commandments, to
me, are condensed down into one simple rede: Do As Thou Wilt an Harm
None. In short, you do not hurt/harm anyone - yourself included - in
any way, shape, form or idea. I get to write up the service I feel is
appropriate for me and perform it knowing I'm heard. (I was not always
certain the Godhead heard me no matter what the Scriptures said.)
I believe everyone has their own true path. It may seem different from
everyone else's. But it will, in the end, achieve the same basic goals.
