My guess is that "contemporary geology" does NOT say
anything about these facts, because they have been
altogether too EMBARRSSING to their delusions about the
alleged great age of the earth. You see, even some
evolutionists are disgusted at the way evolutionists have
acted for all too long. Evolutionist themselves such as G.R.
Taylor in his book entitled; THE GREAT EVOLUTION MYSTERY
(1983) say;
'Progress has been prevented by the rigid dogmatism of the
Neo-Darwinians and it is quite significant that the first
crack in the structure they erected has come on the subject
of 'punctuation'. That is, on the question: is evolution
gradual or do abrupt discontinuities occur. As Professor
Rupert Riedl of Vienna puts it: "Most of the unexplained
phenomena in macro-evolution were first minimised, then
swept under the carpet and finally forgotten.'
(p. 245 - see also p 24, 103 & 165)
Now IF you can find anything in modern texts that REFUTE
the facts that were so evident in the early 1900's as dealt
with in my reference to Velikovsky's work, then please put
them forward. I predict, of course, that you know of NONE!

Since I did not mention the flood in this message then
your reference to it is interesting. Apparently you
recognise that such things would be a logical part of such a
world wide flood.
What, however is significant is that for at least 120
years the evolutionists, following Hutton, Lyell and Darwin,
believe and taught that "The Present is the Key to the Past"
and this was a belief that was supposed to prove that there
never could have been a world wide flood, since that would
have been a total breach of this supposedly "scientific"
rule!
So the existence of any sort of "discontinuity" such as
those referred to was something to be "suppressed" or
ignored or just "swept under the carpet" and THAT is
probably why you have apparently never heard of such things.
Today, however, coincidental (!) with that decade of
debates, which the evolutionists have admitted that the
Creationists almost always WON, we have had a significant
"rehabilitation" of the CATASTROPHISM that existed at the
time when Darwin wrote his ORIGINS book and which was widely
accepted by the geologists of that time.
It is obvious that evolutionists have been teaching a
FALSE scientific fairy tale for all that time and even now
there is a major breach of OPINION in the evolutionary
fraternity over this very question. One group is called the
ULTRA DARWINISNS and the other is the PUNCTUATED EQUILIBRIAN
group. One still accepts that the "Present is the Key to the
Past" and the other denies it totally!
The Creationists are delighted to find that, after all
these years that CATASTROPHISM has again achieved a major
following, to say nothing of the fact that Sudden Appearance
and Stasis (stability of species) too has also achieved a
major following. These three things were always major
principles of Creationism of course!
Thus creation science has in fact been largely vindicated
on these major and central principles! Evolutionism, however
has achieved such a stranglehold in Education and the Media
that we can be sure that it will take a long time yet before
the truth begins to come through.
Historically it seems that the older "die-hard" generation
of evolutionists will have to DIE-OUT before the younger and
better informed generation takes over!
"Dr. Raup [a respected evolutionist] seemed to think that
there was a general revolution going on in evolutionary
thinking. In fact he wrote a section for a 1980 yearbook for
the World Book Encyclopedia that was entitled Revolution In
Evolution."
'In his 1979 interview, he had this to say about hopeful
monsters and punctuated equilibria:'
All of the authors of the neo-Darwinian theory
which they formulated back in the thirties and
forties are losing their influence. They are
getting old and dying off. I predict that that
whole concept will be thrown out in the next ten
years and a new theory will be devised to take its
place. A new wave of thinking is sweeping the field.

You might be able to fool yourself with such vain
imaginings, but it is more than likely that you will NOT be
able to fool the Creator, when the 'crunch' comes! But don't
try to say the nobody tried to warn you!

Don't try to tell me that you have accepted evolution on
purely scientific grounds, since there IS none and Molecular
Biologists are making this plain. The scientific evidence is
constantly and consistently pointing to INTELLIGENT DESIGN,
which means that there was necessarily an intelligent
Designer!
So long as you have become convinced that all life arose
by a "fortituous concourse of atoms" then you have been
scientifically WRONG or mislead or indoctrinated. You can
blame evolutionists themselves for THAT state of affairs, but
it does NOT justify your continuing to believe such nonsense
now that you are a "big boy" and presumably now able to
think for yourself!?
Did you ever try "thinking for yourself" or do you realise
that you would necessarily have to REJECT most of what you
have been taught, and then be subjected to the sort of
outrageous personal abuse that evolutionists, such as
yourself, heap upon those who DO think for themselves!
So what is it to be with you? The scientific truth, or keep
your well paid job and live a scientific LIE?

look to closely at it in case you find that your "excuse" is
a phoney!

So do ALL atheists have a STANDARD set of "rights and
wrongs", somewhat after the style of the TEN COMMANDMENTS, or
do they all make up their own rules, which are known only to

that the others have made up?

Seems to me, that yer gasoline taxes aren't enough to cover
the cost of road construction. The general fund (which I pay
into) pays the bulk of road construction costs.
Down here in Texas the matter has been settled by law. A
bicycle is a vehicle (any careful examination of the word
would show this anyway). Hence, bikes DO NOT belong on the
sidewalks, are expected to signal and observe all the
traffic restrictions other vehicles are bound too.
Admittedly, enforcement is lax. But I would love to see the
sidewalk riders ticketed. (Now if we could just get the damned
joggers out in the street also...)

Which is basically what you do when you drink a coke.
There's 38 grams of sugar in each can. That's roughly
(very roughly, I dont have a calculator in reach) a
pound of sugar in every 12 pack.
Of course, I'm just as guilty as anyone. I used to drink
beer like a fish, now that I'm sober the craving for
alcohol is gone but the oral fixation remains. I can easily
go through a 12 pack a day on weekends.

It is just a lump of cellular baggage that is dependant on it's

True Meanings of Biblical Words
Begat - To pull someones loin cloth up from behind them so it wedges in
their butt crack. A Begat is a Proto-Wedgie.
Smite - To hit someone with a non-Kosher Custard Pie.
Ascend - Went out for a pint or seven.
Divine - Funny, humourous.

Do you know who Candice Bergen is? Well, Edgar was her father,
and Charlie McCarthy and Mortimer Snerd were his two dummies (he
was a ventroliquist who moved his lips a lot, but it didn't matter
in the days of radio). Mortimer wasn't too bright, but Charlie
was more what we would call a "geek" today.
... Anyone can hate. It costs to love.
